Nu Way of Working: What does Nubank's new hybrid work model look like

Our teams conducted studies to arrive at the most appropriate hybrid format for the well-being and productivity of all Nubankers

Since Nubank was born, one of our most important pillars has always been to build strong and diverse teams. And when creating a hybrid working model, it was essential to find a format that would guarantee teams the ability to collaborate face-to-face without losing flexibility.

With the evolution of vaccination campaigns in Latin America, our teams conducted studies to arrive at the most appropriate format for the well-being and productivity of all Nubankers (as the people who work at Nubank are called). It is the Nu Way of Working.

Now, our work model works in 2-month cycles: for every 7 weeks worked remotely, 1 week will be worked in the office. The teams already have a calendar with the dates stipulated throughout the year, and the idea is that the face-to-face work week allows people to get closer and participate in events and rituals that are important to Nubank.

We hope it's not an ordinary work week, but a week to focus on those activities where it's important for teams to be together. People and teams who want to work in the office more often will be able to book workstations and areas at our offices to leverage the space and collaboration possibilities.

In this way, teams will be able to meet periodically to carry out more strategic planning in person, while the flexibility of remote work remains.

It is worth mentioning that all Nubankers will have access to benefits (such as discounts on airline and bus tickets and hotels) when they need to come to the office.
